Laveen small equine and animal rescue

We are a family ran rescue that take in anything ranging from miniature horses to pot belly pigs. Our facility is small right now and space is limited so we tend to specialize in the small ones as they need proper fencing needs.

My husband and I have been in the horse business all our lives and I started out with a miniature horse breeding farm. With showing and training these darling animals we came across many who needed a good home or were neglected and abused. Over the years we would take them in only to find that there were a lot more out there that needed special care. So to say the least the household plans took a major turn. We now spend our time going to auctions and shows with a different  propose in mind. We do not strive for that championship ribbon now, but for the ultimate grand prize of placing one of our rescues in a loving and caring home or saving another one.

Our future involves a beautiful 80 acre ranch that we had purchased to help with our need for further space. Our goal is to open a facility where horses can come up for the summer to get a relief from the desert heat and more room for the rescues to live out their lives. We hope to be able to provide a peaceful tranquil environment for healing and recovery for all thoughts in need. A place where visitors my come to watch the animals in their natural state at peace with their lives.

  From time to time, people tell me, "lighten up, its just a pony",

or that's a lot of money for " just a pony"...

They don't understand the distance traveled,

the time spent or the costs involved for "just a pony"

Some of my proudest moments have come about with" just a pony"

Many hours have passed and my only company was "just a pony", but I did not once feel slighted.

and in those days of darkness,

 the gentle touch of "just a pony" gave me comfort and reason to overcome the day

If  you, too, think its just a pony,

 then you will probably understand phrases like "just a friend", "just a sunrise", or "just a promise"

"just a pony" brings out the compassion and patience that make me a better person.

 Because of "just a pony" I will rise early, take long walks, and look longingly into the future.

but an embodiment of all the hopes and dreams of the future,

the fond memories of the past, and the pure joy of the moment.

"Just a pony" brings out what's good in me

and diverts my thoughts away from myself and the worries of the day.

 but the thing that gives me humanity and keeps me from being

" just a woman or a man"

So the next time you hear the phrase" just a pony,"....

just smile,

 because they "just" don't understand the lessons in life thru God's Gift of

"Just a Pony"
